Water from used from minor washing in mosques are often wasted due to the lack of the water recollecting system. This group built a prototype of a system that collects all these “less contaminated” water to be reused for washing cars, watering plants and even to wash floors.

University students don’t often cook due several limitations, one of the reasons being that students do not know how to cook healthy food that they enjoy eating. This team is coming up with fresh food in a box, where all fresh ingredients for a certain dish are provided, including vegetables, spices and herbs. All the student has to do is put all the ingredients provided into a pan, follow the recipe provided, and voila! You have a freshly prepared dish with very little effort.

FeedMeMore is a healthy food delivery service. Customers submit lifestyle, eating habits, and allergy information and nutritionists prepare menus for the customers to consume. During the lunch break, the service delivers the food to the subscribers’ offices. The food is delivered in recyclable lunch containers which are collected the next day. The food is cooked by single mothers in a restaurant that operates during the evening, so that this service can use the kitchen at lunch.

Jobs4U puts together job opportunities that are appropriate for these types of workers. The site bridges employers who are typically not online, such as restaurants and mom-and-pop shops with students who are online by allowing employers to post job opportunities via SMS. People can also gain points and badges on the site by snapping photos of job advertisements in shop windows and uploading them to the site. The site makes money by charging employers to post their job opportunity via SMS.
