Do you have an idea? Have you always wanted to work on a really great project?
The *Weekend Movement is a community of people that builds crafty projects and innovative solutions to real-world problems over weekends. We bring together makers and doers across a variety of disciplines at intensive weekendincubators that aim to help people bring great ideas to life.
Find great, like-minded partners, experiment with out-of-the-box ideas, and start building your idea. With over 1,000 participants, the *Weekend movement is the largest platform of its kind in Malaysia.
How it works
*Weekends are themed around a variety of exciting subjects and global challenges ranging from reinventing the news industry to social enterprise and fun programming projects.
The *Weekend starts with people pitching their project ideas and initiatives to the group. The participants collate into teams based on the projects that interest them the most. Over the course of the incubation process, the teams build prototypes or proof-of-concepts, receive mentorship from a roving group of industry mentors, and test their projects out in the real world.
The projects you build are yours. *Weekend participants have produced everything from new models for designing neighborhoods, to iPhone applications, to energy harvesting devices.
